In Tesco earlier a dad was talking to his little girl saying they had carrots for the reindeer. He asked her what drink did they need, her reply, vodka. Did make me laugh.

I was out shopping and although it was busy, the mood was good. Random conversations with strangers in queues was nice.

My daughter video called me, so that made me happy and my kitten coming for cuddles!

A text from someone very special made me smile… a lot!

And a mum and her young son came in my shop earlier and I asked the little boy if he was excited for Santa coming… he just nodded and grinned like a Cheshire Cat. He was so excited bless him it melted my heart

I had the pleasure of a long conversation with my 85 year old neighbour earlier, she was telling me her life story, so many traumatic events and yet she was still so joyful and bubbly. Her words " what have I got to be miserable about, I'm lucky and very happy". It certainly put some things into perspective for me

A neighbour we chat to from down the road with a bushy white beard knocked on our door dressed in his Santa suit and gave the kids a box of chocolates. The youngest was very happy to see Santa

My bestest little pal opening her Christmas gifts today. Of everything we bought her,she was happiest with a £1 torch that shone pictures of paw patrol.

Then we had jelly and ice cream.

Seeing our daughter so excited that Santa would be coming soon, as she rushed getting ready for bed and burst into her brother's bedroom to tell him the time. Just a shame both of them have been ill earlier today

Just seeing people happy and smiling, especially this time of year.

Even walking down the street and especially getting that smile back made my day today

So many things it would take too long to write them all down, but the look on my son's face when our 9 foot Christmas tree was finally decorated, complete with candles, was a sight I'll remember forever.

Life. Friends. Loved ones. Messages and even an early phone call. Being asked if I'd like a drink. It's a wonderful start to the day. I'm probably one message away from becoming a gushing silly sausage.
