Do anyone do rack pulls instead of deadlifts? Do you find any size gain doing them?

I've heard of this and I suppose it's good for isolating the lower back muscles without relying on your hips, glutes and hamstrings to help with the lift. Might give them a go if I hit a deadlift plateau

Somewhere

Depends where you do them from.

Above the knee works primarily upper back. Below the knee hams and glutes included to a degree depending how low you go.

Neither are the best for hypertrophy, but you will get some growth. Can be good for helping with lock out and a bigger deadlift.

I always did from below the knee and helped my deadlift massively, got me from 270kg to 305kg.

Most people do them and ego lift from mid thigh which does nothing.
