Anything like that, if there’s an emotional attachment, I’d tend to keep if it was me. You might regret it in a few years if you do. Just my 2p worth .. #nostalgia

Definitely keep it if you're still attached to it. I know I couldn't get rid of any of my vinyl, even the stuff I dont listen to as there was a reason I bought it.

But if you do want to sell some bits let me know!

I do have some rare vinyl.

Think I will get it out of loft smell it and play it with the beautiful crackling sounds that are unique to only "our" records

Please, please, please dont get rid of your vinyl.

You will regret it. There are so many memories in a collection.

My mum sold about 400 of my vinyl albums at a boot sale in the 90's, while i was away on a tour. For £25.

I was fuming and devastated.

Ive luckily still got about 400 left.

where the world takes me

people grossly over value the worth of their records to be honest, i have a fairly sizeable collection - about 2k in total - across a lot of genres, some of which are very collectable, and the one thing i've learned down the years is the value of most records is about a tenner max.

Don't forget the majority was mass produced, and sold in the thousands, so it's really only a tiny, tiny percentage that has value, and that tends to be linked to trends and fashion (with some exceptions).

What is a old punk ?

Punk never dies

Not bothered with records n relics.

Tho I understand n respect the collection thing

my favourite records that u could buy price of peanuts in 96 , Now I’m not sure if £200 is enough to get hold Of a copy . Even is out online on digital wave .

If u are in hold of such relics as u say :

U may have high prices already …

I know nothing …

In some cases thats true but my husband sells records for a living and even new newly released albums and reissues are around £20. He has albums worth significant amounts of money and collectors are happy to pay it.

In reply to OP, do not sell unless you are absolutely sure you have no attachment to a record otherwise you will regret it.
