Morning fabbers

So are you the ‘new year new you’ type?

Or a ‘same me deal with it’ type ?

Just a bit of fun… always curious

Oh and should I shave my beard off for 2023?

The shit going on in your life on the 31st December, will still be there 1st January. Most people who set goals fail within the first month, mostly because they do too much at a time. You can make changes in your life at any point of the year, don't wait for a new one.

No I'm not into new years resolutions. Sometimes I might make changes but it's never because it's a new year lol.

This for me too. The chances of it happening on new year is approximately 365:1 against

.

I'm not a same me deal with it person - I'm trying to work on and improve myself constantly and I feel like new year resolutions rarely work; the intent can be noble but it doesn't mean they'll happen.

That being said, I'm not going to poo poo the influx of people going to the gym in Jan etc. At least they're trying and maybe it will stick.

We have fun and try to enjoy our life every month so we don’t invest in this new year new you hype.

As for the beard - do as you wish. Some will like it, some won’t.

Every single day is important, if you want to do something do it today, change something, change it today, don’t tell no bugger either, telling people is setting yourself up to fail, wanna lose weight? Like really wanna lose weight, don’t tell anyone, just go about it slowly steadily, no one needs to know, if you need encouragement then don’t ask for it from people you know, they have their own battles they are losing and don’t really want you to win yours and that’s the truth…. Anything lose weight fitness job education, goals …. Fucking get on with it, but quietly ……. Tell no fucker, come back in in a years time and let’s see,

your wildest dreams,

I use it as a time to look back and reflect on what I’ve achieved and feel good about myself. But also to look at what I haven’t achieved, and whether I can do things differently. It’s not about being upset or disappointed about those things, but more about taking positive steps. Life is busy and it’s not always easy to keep that attitude going 24/7 so new year just brings a good focal point

I just go with the flow when it comes to new year stuff.

I'm on week 2 of a training plan for my next half marathon and therefore am already making positive steps for a fitter/healthier me for 2023. The timing is purely coincidental though.

Never 'New me' but always look at one or two small changes which might make life easier or better.

Lose the beard, we've got enough lumberjacks already.

I usually start a new something before the end of the year. This year I started not cutting my hair (on my head) or trimming my beard in October.
