"The 2017 Land Rover Discovery with the shit back end that looks like it was drawn by Stevie Wonder after a 3 Yr old with a lisp described it to him. What the fuck was the point of the weird, asymmetrical rear? A" Agree totally. Series 1 & 2 were Discovery's. Series 3 was when the rot set in...described by a L/R salesman, that I knew fairly well, to me as....front end of a Range Rover, mid section of a Discovery, back end of a Transit! Not far wrong either!

"By a clear mile has to be the fiat multipla But followed very closely by the final Ford Scorpio The bug eyed wide mouth frog it was Thing being is they were both fantastic cars to drive shame they were let down by there looks And let’s not forget the Renault espace again lovely to drive though " Totally agree on the Scorpio. Such a shame as otherwise a great car. The back end wasn't that bad though. Funny thing is though, that around that time, I think Mercedes went for a similar approach with large round headlamps though they somehow managed to pull it off.

"Wartburg knight , as ugly as it sounds ! " Bloody hell! I'd almost forgotten that one. Made in East Germany with a two stroke engine and some kind of freewheeling device so you couldn't use engine braking. Quite quick off the mark in a straight line but were really awful in every other way. Other notable ones from that era were the NSU RO80 quite futuristic in design but hamstrung with a totally useless rotary engine. And who remembers "Moskvitch" predated Lada as the first Russin built car imported into the UK. Turkey of Turkeys though came from over the pond. The Ford Edsel which very nearly bankrupted the company back in the 60's Strangely enough the few examples that are left are now worth a bloody fortune.

The 850 t5r " Good ones are shooting up in value and look fantastic I can still remember them racing in the BTCC in the early 90’s due to a casual throwaway comment. IIRC, it was Rickard Rydell who was approached by Volvo, about joining the series. He joked he would win with their most popular model- which turned out to be the 850 estate…which is how the T5R was apparently born (and I think the start of the R-design line used since).

"Austin Allegro It looked shit. It drove shit It rusted like shit The engine was shit All the above is true " Except for the bit about the shit engine. The A series was a pretty decent lump in comparison to some of the others designed round the late 50’s/ early 60’s- not many have a production span of almost 40 years. I modified a 1300 unit to go in my mini, medium lift race cam, twin SU’s, ported head with seated valves and triple branch manifold to a drainpipe exhaust- I could also remove an A Series engine, work on something and have it back in on the same day. So, In a car weighing not much north of half a tonne, with those mods, it squashed you back in the seats and started every time. Had a friend who fitted a modified Metro Turbo unit in his stripped mini, that pissed on every hot hatch in the area. Like most cars, reliability was also mainly down to how well you looked after it. Don’t knock the little block, still going strong in thousands of car’s worldwide

"Does anyone remember those 3 wheeler sky blue invalid cars ? They were so ugly " Thundersley Invacar. Declared dangerous & all survivors recalled & crushed in 2003 due to safety concerns & a propensity to burst into flames.

"Tesla. Plagued with battery issues, and now in legal action with them over the cost of a new battery. " The question is about looks. A tesla is far from ugly

"In 20 years time when the vast majority of ICE (cars with Internal Combustion Engines) will have finally disappeared from all our roads, we will finally realise what a crappy and wasteful form of transport they were: noisy, costly and massive polluters!" Yeah well that's bollocks.
