I ordered a present 10 days ago for someone extremely special. I spoke to the very reputable and popular company on Saturday to confirm my order was being processed. They assured me I would receive it this week.

I have just received an email this morning to say my order is now cancelled because they have ran out of stock of the item I ordered.

I'm so angry and disappointed. I live in a remote area and have no time to get to a shopping centre.

I know there are more important things in life but I wanted to make Christmas as perfect as I could.

I'm not happy. Any suggestions of what I can do would be gratefully received.

Can’t you send someone into town or pay someone to go for you ?

My nearest shopping centre that might sell what I ordered is over an hours drive away. I dont have anyone that I can ask to do that for me. Most people are still working.

Any information about how special this person is?

Friend, family, lover

.

Is it possible to back order it, or was it limited stock?

.

Do you have any type of shop near you?

He's my husband. The nearest shops that would sell them are over an hour's drive.

Thinking I may just wrap myself up in a big red bow.

You could always write a little IOU in a cute envelope and say it'll be exchanged for the gift on the 31st of Dec. It'll give you time to shop for it.

It's not on Amazon or anything?

Anything similiar avaliable on Amazon?

You can sign up to the Prime fast delivery and then cancel the subscription within the month so you don't get charged again for the following months.

Just tell them, I've got you something special but it won't arrive until after Christmas. I'm sure they will understand!

I've looked on Amazon and they don't have his size. I thought I was all sorted. I may have to have a look for something totally different.

Oh Ruby. Get something small and then pick up the other present when you have more time. It sounds perfect and like your heart was set on it.

I have got him some other bits, there is no point me stressing anymore is there. These companies really shouldn't take orders they can't complete.

I have a friend in Newcastle. If they can get it for you I will pay for a courier to deliver it to you. We don't want him missing out on Christmas.

BoroRick and KentBarry.

Two knights in shining armour for the price of one.

That’s how a real gentleman behaves.

Could not agree more.

The world is so lacking nowadays in care and compassion for anyone but the self.

That really moved me to read the two replies from those two great lads.

If he's your husband what else what else does he need??

Maybe wrap up your knickers and when he opens them there's a note inside saying youre not wearing any

I am sure he will be as excited as a 8 Yr old getting a train set..even more so if there's other ppl there so he can't have you immediately.

...include a note with an iou too saying his other present will be late

Yes I've ordered something tonight from Amazon. I have prime so it should be here by Friday at the latest. It's one of the down sides of living in the middle of nowhere, but the benefits far outweigh the shops.

My ex got me something similar to this.

They were like a little pack of cards with different treats on to be redeemed when I wanted.

A massage.

A hot bath.

My favourite meal.

Obviously, there were some more private options included but it was nice that there was a good mix.

They weren’t and don’t have to be all sexual.

I suppose you’d call them tokens and boy did I enjoy spending them!!!

Completely novel and very appreciated.

That’s good. Yeah like how it’s quiet and the views. Looks very pretty with the snow outside last week.

You could also get a gift card. They have them on Amazon which you can send to the persons email address
