Many years I've done by myself... kids at their dads

I've either enjoyed the peace... worked or volunteered.

When I was a kid my dad had a job that involved him being really busy until the middle of Christmas Day and so he was exhausted, the rest of the day was quite quiet

When I started working I had a career that involved me working stupid hours in the run up to Christmas, as well as working on the day itself

That’s led to me not being that bothered about celebrating

Now I’m old and single, I find myself treating it as another day, my family is spread around the country, my siblings have their own families and in laws and do their own thing, so it’s just me and the dog… sometimes I think it’s be nice to have more company but it is what it is

I’m alone again this year, but if any ladies fancy joining me or need some company, even if it’s just to cuddle on the sofa and watch crap on TV would be nice to meet up
