"Irritation. When it flares up, how do you handle it? Are you a sit with it and wait for the emotions to pass sort of person? Do you go from 1-100 in a fit of rage? What's the best method of calming your irk? " It takes a lot to get me to boiling point, I sit and simmer for a while, but when it does… Hell hath no fury like a dickhead scorned! As for calming it down… it depends on whats caused it. Lego can be a good mood calmer. Music as well. Other times a bit of righteous vengeance goes a long way.

"What's the best method of calming your irk? Brutal murder." I mean yeah, this could help. Only if it's done proper folk style, you know worship some ancient pagan deity, be in touch with dark feminine energy... Chuck in a floral crown and some peculiar chanting in tongue and I'll be a happy soul* *this is a joke. I would never do such a thing. Murder is bad, kids.

"Hi Meli. Hope you’re not too irritated? I find it helps to take myself out of the situation - “flight” as it were. Then I can have a proper think about it rather than flying off the handle. Then I have a little mantra that helps me every time. “I never did mind the little things” Hope that can help a bit but if you need a rant I’ve had the day from hell… quite literally… so feel free to message me for one " You're a delight Littlebird, I genuinely mean that. Sorry to read you've had the day from hell, that's really rather rubbish. Might start chanting your mantra. Through gritted teeth counts doesn't it?

"Oh once my irritation itch has been triggered, there’s nothing to do…. I either need to erupt & get it out or sleep." Sleeping is good. But when you're rather... grrrr how do you sleep? I've taken myself to bed. Like a petulant child. The poor fiancé must be one step away from sending me to a nunnery.

"I’m not very good at hiding it if I’m irritated. It usually ends up with me erupting if I can’t get myself out of the situation. " Ach, eruptions aren't good but they are understandable. I'm trying to be better by posting it into this random void of horny, bored or poo-ing people. I can almost predict what my friends will say if I message them. So instead it's on here and it's kind of stopping it becoming a Big Thing.

"Flash in the pan with me. It takes a lot to irritate me, but it comes with a bang and then is gone. I don't harbour ill feelings either. If someone is really irritating me on a long term basis I cut them out of my life; or I blank it out if it's family. " See, this is quite a rational, mature response. The sort of calm logic I wish I had. I'm not sure if it's the Italian blood but I feel emotions far too keenly. Not harbouring ill wishes is very healthy - they don't serve you or them. So you need to find a way to move past it.

Do you have a playlist for that sort of mood? I think there's a natural tipping point isn't there? There's only so much a person can take before they just... snap.

Once I pop though all hell is unleashed-for about a minute-and then I'm cool again. Being angry takes up too much of my emotional energy.

It's a particularly irritating habit of mine. Like I can't quite process or get out all these emotions so instead my brain thinks "I know, I'll make her cry, sure she read it's cathartic somewhere". I've already not picked up one call so I don't vent unfairly because my instinctive response and heightened emotions might result in me not being fair. So I'm going to sit and post crap on here. And hope that people I fancy don't read this and think fuck no.

Too many entitled people get away with their behaviour because people are afraid to act. People need ro realise that their actions have consequences.

I do the angry cry… the frustrated cry… the fuck you, you asshole cry It’s weird but once I’ve cried I do feel better… lighter. And can process things more clearly. And it’s good to take time out for yourself… be selfish! I’m trying to do this more as I tend to let my emotions get the better of me. Nothing wrong with posting crap either… and my inbox is always open if you need to vent… I’m a pretty good listener and can (occasionally) offer advice that isn’t total bollocks

You can be irritated or angry or sad or really fucking annoyed if you want to.
