Porn addiction has trebled in Britain since pandemic started...

New figures reveal that more than 36,000 people across Britain turned to the rehab provider UK Addiction Treatment Group (UKAT) for support for an addiction to pornography in 2021.

It signifies a rise of almost 250 per cent, up from around 10,500 people in 2020.

Major cities such as London, Birmingham and Manchester had the highest addiction figures in the country.

The proportion of women seeking help rose from 25 per cent to 38 per cent during the same period.

He told BBC Radio Newcastle: "It really affects your libido in real life, sometimes nothing happens because you're so anxious.

Did it say the average age of the porn addicts. I've never come across a woman on here but plenty of guys talk to women as though they are Porno Queens. You see it in the forums. You see it in pms. Guys taking viagra when they don't need it. Guys who can't come when they are with a woman.

I think it's very sad thar they have access to hard-core port at such a young age.

It's going to cause them all kinds of problems from erectile dysfunction to forming relationships with women. But what do I know I'm just an old codger that doesn't watch porn

I don't watch it either. I can well imagine the unrealistic expectations from it.

And if the person watching has not much real life relationship experience then it can lead to damage within relationships. And lead to feelings if inadequacy.

I think it's easy to dismiss and make light-hearted fun of the subject.

There'll always be a sexual desire in people aimed towards those they find attractive, but undoubtedly porn has created a rather skewed expectation.

Who's tried to reenact things they've seen, or perhaps expected a partner to participate, only to find its the fantasy not necessarily the act ?

Am I being slightly hypocritical? Quite possibly as I know it's influenced me with what I found to be a turn on (or at least thought it was).

No idea what the answer is, but one things for sure; sexual desire is very powerful and in many of us, so the things that influence it, will cause positive or negative manifestations?

If Fab is any indication of the casual hookup/single and footloose casual sex life of Britons (what with all the dreamers, scammers, photo collectors etc), you wouldn't be that surprised about how lots of people (both men and women) have preferred to turn to porn as their outlet for sex.

I feel like for whatever reason, pre and post-Covid Britain has seen a marked sea change when it comes to hookup culture. In-person casual sex simply isn't "easy" to get anymore for any bang-average man. And the couple gatekeeping boundary in the swinging world has only gotten even higher now by my reckoning.
