How many folk will be spending Christmas Day on their own? For what ever reason it may be, Christmas Day may be a day of solitude. My children will be away with their mother visiting relatives. Any other folk spending the day I. Their own company?

Part of me thinks this Christmas will be the last with my family, as once I have my own place Christmas apathy will kick in & just spend it alone.

Clearly doesn't work for me.

I've been on my own most years.

As far as I'm concerned it's just another day

Pet peeve the people who suddenly start worrying about me spending time on my own..

That's their guilt talking

Not actually being concerned

I have spent a few Christmas days on my own in the past. My ex wife was a nurse and so used to work on the day shift at the hospital (long day equalled a 12 hour shift). It’s nice to have company but sometimes the peace and quiet is just as good. It depends on my mood at the time lol.

Tonypandy.

I will be. I'm working night shifts, so will have nice breakfast and craft beer when I get home, curl up in bed and sleep.

Hopefully one of the tribe will remember to bring me some Christmas dinner from wherever they are having it.

I think if you have company at other times if the year it probably isn't such a big deal spending Christmas alone..

Or, if the offer if dinner and company was there.

There will be many lonely people Christmas day ...only to be exasperated because it is Christmas.
