Secret hideaway in the pennines

For some reason, coming home to an empty home has got to me a little bit this morning.

Normally it doesn't bother me, but for some reason I got a little twinge of sadness and loneliness

I'm sorry it's got you down, a silent house can suddenly bring fourth such feelings.

Why is your house empty?

Most of us experience feelings of sadness and loneliness at times. I'm not sure this cold weather or dark evenings helps and with Christmas just around the corner it's made worse.

There are small things to try to appreciate if you look for them,,,,

And support if you need it here or 116 123 x

Op. Sorry pal, that’s not nice is it? Get and and try and see a friend or at least organise it to have something to look forward too.

Its a weird time of year living alone, isn't it? Bombarded with images of happy families and frantic socialising, sometimes the contrast jars even for those of us who usually enjoy our own space.

Hope you're ok x

Get yourself a dog, you’ll be greeted with happiness everytime you step through the door.

This happens to me quite a few times mate.. Add music, heat and the atmosphere does lift, it does help.

My son has moved to the Channel Islands and I have an empty nest, I find at times it strange but I'm also enjoying the peace and quiet. Xmas will be strange though first Xmas apart in 28 yrs.

Yup I know op.

This time of year is hard, I'm finding in particularly harder this year cpl things happened that's just getting to me.

I had a bad accident last august in work a machine ate my fingers and was tough going for some time became single middle of the year cause well I just needed to start coping and now I'm miles away from friends and it's tough. I have great days and terrible days.

I need to remember the good days, I try plan little things to look forward to, but just now very much stuck in the house not alot to do and can't work so this year's harder than others.

Good news is summer will be here sooner than we think...
