I always find these amusing, especially when they're asking for anyone who remmebers them to verify them when they have no pictures or anything else on their profile that would enable anyone to recognise them.

I had a 5 year break from my last profile, I had loads of verifications, but I doubted anyone would have remembered me, and I didn't want to use the same name as before because it was a fresh start, .that, and my ex was spying on me.

Having had to make a fresh start I can understand why some would want to get back into the swing of things quickly as it takes time to re-establish your bona fides.

Or could be that they are just lazy and can't be arsed

Just a thought... If I noticed someone had deleted their profile, what would stop me being able to open a new account with a similar name (eg adding a 1 at the end) and saying 'back again, verify if we met before' and bagging some fake veris?

My profile is hidden periodically to catch up on messages, and currently because although there are many awesome people on here there are are also a few that never take no for an answer and one in particular likes to make new profiles and send very unconsensual messages and I need a break from it

I’ve been on and off fab for years. I have deleted my profile quite a few times. Sometimes bc of local dicks threatening to show my photos to others, and at other times just because fab felt too much. Saying I’m back let’s people know I’ve been here before.

At the same time if that is the only thing on their profile, then yeah they should probably add some more. Each to their own though
