"That's what I paid last night. Now we're not big pub goers and had just decided on a late bite and a drink. The last time I bought a pint was in a restaurant in Bristol where there was fuck all change from £7. Yes. We were in a spoons. But I'm not sure I've paid that little since the mid 90's. It actually felt weird not having to pay more. And no. It wasn't house lager or bitter. Koppaberg Strawberry & Lime. I'm rock'n'roll me...... Guessing there's huge disparity across the country so rhe question is - how much was the last pint you bought? A" yes for all that's said about spoons they make the unhealthy passtime that's called drinking affordable, if they could just make some of the pubs a little less drab they'd be on a winner but suppose you can't have one without the other.

"I was on a work night out at a craft brewery recently and pints were around £5ish. At my round one of the guys asked me to get him a different kind and when I asked for a pint of it at the bar the barman said 'really, we don't usually do that in full pints as it's quite dear' I said it was fine, just give me it anyway. TWELVE POUNDS! For 1 pint. Cheeky fucker I work with slipping that into my round ha!! " Was it Leffe beer? I had a similar conversation down South four years ago. "We don't usually sell that in pints"

"We don't usually sell that in pints"" I genuinely have no idea, I know it was dark beer. I'd never heard of buying in quarter pints before, apparently it's usually sold in that or 1/2.

"I’m in NYC every other week and a pint there at Happy Hour is $7. At a normal bar, not a rooftop Gen-Zer one or anything.. " Last time I was in NYC I found it was between $6 and $9 in pubs although there was a great little dive bar just off Times Square that was only $3

"£14 pounds for my friends pint recently in London ... I mean was expensive venue which I new but I thought it was quite rich just for a pint of a beer no matter what poncy posh label it came from ... spirits I can at least understand more being expensive " £14 for a pint! That sounds more realistic for London prices. I recently posted asking how much a pint costs in center London and some said a fiver a pint which sounded unbelievable considering I paid over a fiver a pint in my local in Wales here
