And Happy Saturnalia!!!

11 days of eating, drinking and shagging.

Sounds strangely familiar, don't it....

I realised it must be the winter solstice today when I opened my curtains and my room got darker…

Happy solstice! We had a gathering of about 20 Pagans at a stone circle, and as the moment of doom approached (11 past 11 AM) the sun came out just to show the world wasn't ending. We toasted it in mulled wine. Now the days get lighter, enjoy!

Happy Solstice!!!!

From the solstice window in my kitchen, this is the one single day of the year that the sun is completely hidden behind the mountain.

The seasons turn and tomorrow the sun begins it's journey into brightness and a new year...

Blessed be, all!

In reality, today is New Years Eve and tomorrow is New Years Day. Christmas, and what we understand to be New Year are recent inventions. Planetary movement and life and death of the living world around us is eternal. Everything else is just a "modern" fad.
