"So Nero and everyone with good taste, what is your view on premade/bottled mulled wine? Also why is the thread title so wonky, d*unk already? I guess it's the afternoon..." • My view is gracious: pre-made aromatised wine from either M&S, Waitrose or a half-decent vintner is perfectly fine and convenient, and quick to prepare if you have last-minute festive visitors. Sometimes I'll make my own with a small hessian pouch filled with mulling spices, and then add some orange peel and one cardamom pod. The left over pouch can be used to make poached pears!

"Gentlemën, Ladiës, Binariës and Whateveriës... I have a predilection for mulled wine. That aromatised and smouldering, alcohol-vapour flowing, spiced nectar of Winter. Join me and pay homage to mulled wine. More so now with Christmas almost upon us - as we pour a ladle of Mulled Wine or a Glühwein or even a Glögg - to disperse the 'wintry' fog. This gentleman loves Mulled Wine. Did I ever parley about Mulled Wine? I have now." Are you glad you’ve got that off your chest darling? Pass me a martini please ![]()

"Do like a good mulled wine. A dash of Cointreau always helps. ![]() I add a dash of that as it complements the orange peel and cinammon ![]()

"All wine is mulled, when you think about it." • Let's not think too much about it: warm it up, sieve, pour, serve and drink...•°* ![]() ![]()
