I'll be honest I'd prefer to work in the cold to boiling hot any day of the week.

When it's cold you can wrap up and get warmer but hot blazing sun, once you get hot that's it!

Yep.

When it's cold I just layer up. There's no limit to how many layers I can chuck on.

But when it's 40 degrees in the shade I can't just stand around working in a mankini. Besides. The tan lines would be shocking......

North West

This weather is terrible for wheelchairing too. You can't wear thick/bulky gloves, you need grip and your hands are on metal pushrims and you can't shove them in your pocket. Fecking freezing hands, permanently

Can you wear the safety gloves like for knives? We have some thinner ones at work that have good grip.

Absolutely. I'm pleased I was in my office job today, although it was freezing as the heating is broken.

Tomorrow I will be adding on plenty of layers for when I'm working outside.
