A Conversation I had very recently threw up a question… I see quite a few posts saying this is a sex site… not match ( or Other dating site) …. So is the opinion now that swinging is sex? What does swinging mean to you?

I think it's a whatever you want to use it for site - the aim primarily is to have a place where people can be openly sexual and then go from there. For some, it's swinging, others it's so they can get their slut or exhibitionist or voyeur on.

I'm not sure there's a clear cut definition of what swinging is nowadays. I'm not a swinger, I'm just a woman with a high libido looking for people who I'm compatible with.

Anyone who claims to be able to define swinging is delusional, regardless of whatever dictionary they're reading it from.

To some it's only for couples and involves partner swapping, so rules out singles.

To others it's only real if done in a club or at an organised party - everything else is just casual sex.

There's no point getting hung up on a definition or trying to change what you enjoy to meet someone else's idea of what a 'genuine swinger' is.

Just do you.

I think the expectation of meeting people on here is that it will hopefully eventually end in sex. Of course, that offer of sex can be taken away by either party after meeting for a social. So although it's not specifically a sex site, it is the defining feature based on the the end goal of its users.

I believe it’s more than just a casual sex hook up - but it’s really good reading what all of you guys think. For me there’s an intent to have a friendship with the sexual aspect but like i said it’s interesting seeing if and what seems to be the majority view xx

In my head swinging is when there's some element of ethical non monogamy involved, ie one or all of the parties has a partner either involved or at least consenting. I think it has to involve sex though, otherwise that's just socialising.

'Swinging' without partner's consent is cheating. And singles meeting singles without commitment is just hooking up. I'm in the last category.

I don't care all that much though, I think you just do whatever suits you with Fab.
