By a guy I thought liked me,his lack of response when I added him as a friend should have told me

I really need to start learning how to read signals

Why on earth would he do that??

I cant imagine you're the sort to come on too strong.

Its one thing to not be interested or lose interest. But to then block for no reason?

Think of it as a lucky escape.

There are plenty of others who definitely do like you.

It’s easy to fain interest in messages, when it comes to actually meeting another story, it’s likely you were getting close to that point and instead of being a decent human and telling you he wasn’t that interested he took the easy route

It happens I'm afraid.

Could be for any number of reasons but i wouldn't dwell on it.

You can't control what overs do on here.

It's not you, you must have chatted to add him as a friend, if he then randomly blocked you I'd say lucky escape, I'm sure there's lots of men who would be happy to meet with you, don't let the one get you down.

It also happens the other way around . They send a friends request and before you even accept or have chance to respond, they block. It's just how it is I am afraid.

It happens on here all the time. People block for all different reasons, just forget about it and move on

My rule of thumb these days is to only have people that I have actually met in person on my friends list. Guys will try all sorts of ways to see your more private photos.

People often advise women to block if they're no longer interested. I suspect he wasn't sure how to tell you so took that route.

Surely you have been on here long enough over the years to have had this happen before and I am sure you will have done it to a few....

Or are you White Knight hunting?

I don't mind a block, at least I know where I stand and things aren't left hanging!

Trying to understand someone else's reasons for blocking is a fool's game though, better to let it rest as "he had his reasons, even if I don't know what they are".

I've never blocked someone I've got on with

As for a white Knight on fab? Nope

Never be quick to add, its always nicer to see how the conversation goes no matter how long then probably meet before adding. It's a sensible move. I personally wouldn't worry about it keep smiling x

Same reason they give to the men that ask this in forums, because they can and it’s their choice so put it behind you and move on.

Yes I see men getting this advice as well, it is their right to block, just move on there's nothing you can do about it.

I always make sure I block them back, so if they one day decide to unblock me they can't see my profile as I've blocked them..... petty i know but it helps keep them away from your inbox in future

Welcome to life as a single guy on here.

Only been here a short time and already I've been blocked more times than a rugby player on his way to the try zone.

Winked at someone (blocked); greeted someone too gleefully (blocked); Forgot to attach photos (blocked). Left a lady on read bc I was at work (blocked); didn't respond quick enough (blocked); too local and blocked. Not local enough (double blocked).

Someone was shocked that I was slightly rich in melanin (very clear on my profile) and I was blocked quicker than you can open a condom with your teeth. I'm getting blocked by people I haven't even messaged. Some people even think you're stealing their content and they blocked you.

Whatever the reason it doesn't matter. Ever since that block button was created fingers have been pointing and pressing with relish. If he blocked you bc he couldn't be arsed to meet then he's done you a favour. Move on and on to the next i say.
