Thought we'd make a thread for folk to share their preferred choice of 3D printer.

Anyone who has played Warhammer would likely understand the cost benefits of having one.

We're looking at getting a filament spool one for bigger prints and a decent resin one for more detailed stuff.

Which make/model do others have?

I think mine is a Xvico 3s or something. Love the way they give them really memorable names.

Had really started to get the hang of using it.

Bought some new filaments and then started to hit problems.

Just relaced the nozzle - and I've got another of a slightly different size.

Printed way more stuff on it than I ever thought I would.

My son likes printing stuff gor his RC car and I've done all sorts of things on it, from vaccuum hose adapters for dust extraction in the garage to CD motor adapters for model railway locos.

Even begun to design my own things to print - LED housings for locos etc.

Going to try to design a whole carriage

I’ve had an ender 3 pro for about 3 years now, it was the first ever one I’d bought and I’ve seen no reason to change it. Pretty cheap now too. Thing band new there £200/£250.

I almost invested £5k recently for a second hand printer for direct investment casting with Formlabs Castable Wax. I’m currently using Cookson in Birmingham print services, but they are expensive

I have printed about 9000 points of warhammer models now in total . I use a couple of the anycubic photon mono and the the new bigger 6k version simply for the larger print bed

its a great hobby to get into , I also do 3d printing work for people as well .. so tis something I am building in one of my log cabins a print farm for commercial use with companies / bespoke design prints for designers etc

proof of concepts and stuff
