I have been pondering whilst making my tea

1) does anyone pre heat the oven?

2) does everyone cook on 180 regardless?

And a bonus question

3) does anyone leave microwaved food to stand for a minute before serving?

I do pre heat. Sometimes for 30 secs sometimes for a few mins, but started to get into the habit of turning the oven on when preparing food now.

1) sometimes, depends on what I am cooking and/or warming up.

2) no. Some things need high heat - Yorkshire pudding for example.

3) sometimes. Occasionally I can't wait to get stuck in to the food.

"Yes, no, no"

You have been given a time out from using the forums due to not letting your nuked food stand for the one minute fallout time.

Yes, and I time it for exactly 15 minutes. No idea why, but it works.

No, 200, but it doesn’t always work

Oven at 200 and eat it straight away, breathing quickly as I eat it while it burns the roof of my mouth

I save time by standing for a minute whilst the food is cooking, I also standing in the hallway between the kitchen and lounge so I can piercing in several places without moving too far.

"Everything goes in at 180 if you die , you die "

I certainly would die as my oven is marked in Fahrenheit.

However, on the rare occasion when I use it I always preheat it and I've written the Centigrade equivalents in indelible marker on the inside of the oven door. It doesn't get used enough to worry about getting obliterated (or enough to remember the conversions).

Generally anything needing heat gets done in the microwave oven or the toaster. Absolutely loathe frying things.

PM me if any of you think we might be compatible!

I like to cook on 185.5 as I’m rebellious and don’t like following convention in a conventional oven
