It sure it must hurt but they are just people. Lives take over, commitments, emergencies, fear sometimes. And some percentage will be fakes. You just try not to focus on one interaction, it's easy to get too invested. Good luck.

I just figure they're not currently horny or not currently single. Can't say I've ever tormented myself over it. Unless we had definite plans that they're going to be bailing on, I wouldn't expect advance notice of them leaving.
