Question how many chances do you give someone?

I was supposed to meet someone for lunch a few Avis but they cancelled. We arranged to meet today, hun coming over to mine for lunch, I bought in steak etc specially. He’s now just messaged and cancelled again. This is not a fab meet by the way.

Twice now he’s cancelled should I call it a day?

Really annoyed and upset what the fucks wrong with me ?

Depends… if it’s genuine then definitely give another chance. Sometimes life happens.

However by now he should be really embarrassed about it and offering the next meet at his expense.

Use your senses, does it feel like he’s genuine or is this some power game where he proves you’re not important enough? If there’s any doubt, sack him off.

Don't beat yourself up, since if they're unable to explain themselves which would be the courtesist thing to do, giving you a valid reason behind their cancellations - it's evident they're unreliable and therefore, you need not give them anymore of your precious time. Plenty fish in the sea, to find a tasty catch.

A - have you asked him why he keeps cancelling? Could it be nerves or anxiety?

B - Are the reasons he’s cancelled good reasons, or clearly stupid made up ones?

I’m having the same problem with simple communication, this guy is lovely and we’ve met a few times, but his method of communication pisses me off, takes him hours to reply, never calls when he says he will, but never misses a FaceTime call when we fancy a bit of sexy video fun!

The truth is, it’s not on you, there’s nothing at all wrong with you, it’s that some people are just quite selfish - wether aware of it or not - don’t think about how they make others feel.

Of course you have many people who, when your back is turned, are already looking for something “better”….

Never think it’s you though, it’s absolutely not. Nobody should be allowed to make you feel like it is either. xx

I'm wondering this exact thing at the moment. I've met a guy I know, many times. We chat quite a bit when we're not meeting. It's just sex on both sides so I know I shouldn't be annoyed when he cancels, and every part of me wants to believe he's genuine because I cannot for the life of me work out why he would feel the need to make excuses. It's because i thought we were completely open and honest that i thought he wouldn't arrange to meet if he didn't want to. I think i may have got it wrong though after this last time. It has got to the point that I actually assume it won't happen on the run up to meeting him, which takes out all of the excitement for me.

I think I've answered the question for both of us. If something isn't working recognise it and change it.

I have been cancelled on more than once by a guy I really quite liked, we had met previously, twice and got on great.

But I have decided not to go there again after his last excuse, which was long winded, but basically that he couldnt be arsed!

If it's just a social friend, I'd have a back up plan for any future arrangements we make

Cancelling if I'm cooking. That's a straight red. I'd need a good reason to even go to VAR.
