Was there much in Derby? We had a dusting just south of the city and it's still there.

Nothing better than opening the curtains to see surprise snow!

We got it last Thursday and it's still around

Most streets off the main roads are compacted to hard ice now

Though all the little towns around us are clear again (lucky buggers)

Ours always stays for ages as we're between 1800 and 2000 ft above sea level

Still getting over a broken ankle so I'm stuck

"4 to 9 inches of snow Thursday into Friday. "

Aww but that pa… 9 inches here in the UK shuts the country down!!

Saying that.. last year in New York we had a storm that left loose 22 inches of snow in my Long Island backyard

Buffalo this year have already had one 5ft lake effect snowstorm!

Anyway Sunday here is going to be “interesting” for a few hours till it turns to mush!

"They calling for a north Easter next week . Blizzard conditions looks we going to have a white Christmas."

I remember being in the states and the one thing I dreaded living in New York was a nor’easter going through … hence the double digits snow storms….. that and freezing rain!! That stuff hurts!
