Hi has enyone on this site got a holiday caravan iv just got my ground rent was £3100 last year this year as gone up to £3600 they are saying its £500 in vat as eny of yours gone up that much

Has VAT gone up? I just quickly googled and it says it's 20% on ground rent for a static caravan. Their reason for the increase seems a bit suspect to me

VAT was 5% last 2yrs (pandemic ) now gone back up to 20%

I have a touring caravan and pay 350 a year to store. Going on a touring park permanently which will now cost 2500 for the 9 months including storage for 3 months. But hey ho the joys of having a holiday home

Ones I've seen are asking 5 grand ground rent .
