Near Wells

I married my wife (now ex wife).

We're celebrating by her cooking dinner for us at her place this evening.

She's a remarkable lady and I'm truly sorry for what I put her through over the last 10 years. We help each other out when needed and still care for one another and she's even supportive of Alex.

I feel very lucky. Hope you don't mind me sharing this.

That's lovely that you both still get on together and that she is supportive of Alex. I'm going to have Christmas dinner with my ex husband and the family. We divorced over 20 years ago and I wouldn't say we are friends, but as we are both single, it made sense to get our adult kids and us together at Christmas. He's cooking too.

Sounds good to me. It's great that you can still remember the good things, even if they didn't work out perfectly in the end.

My grandparents phoned each other on what would have been their 60th wedding anniversary despite having divorced around 40 years earlier. They still shared 4 children and they managed a pleasant reminiscence
