Hot flushes

having started my menopause a tad early, I was 34 when I was told I was probably half way through, for the last few months I have been getting a lot of hot flushes mostly in the evening, I refused HRT and take flaxseed oil and a calcium and magnesium supplement.

Any ladies take any other natural remedies and have they worked?

Arse End of the Universe, Cumbria

I've not actually been diagnosed as being menopausal, but had been having hot flushes/sweats for a while so started on maximum Evening Primrose tabs a while back and the frequency of the flushes reduced a lot. For my hip replacement I was told to not take any supplements for a fortnight before the operation - what do I have all the time in hossie - yep hot flushes/sweats. Back home now, so back onto the Evening Primrose

I would love to be able to take Evening Primrose but it seems I react badly to it, itching and throwing up, so be careful not everything works for everyone

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Try Agnus Castus. I had lots of problems finding something that would work for me as I couldn't go on HRT as it triggered my lupus.

Also reduce the levels of cholesterol in your diet.

Good luck.

Can't comment, but hope you find something.
