A series of things to discuss. This one is about lessons learned.

"What advice would you give your past-self for your present or future?"

I always answer this the same way

I wouldn't listen anyway so I'd say nothing

You should bring these topics to our hypothetical dinner party

If we are chatting and putting the world to right we have to go for a selection of tapas and good wine

Carlisle usually

You can't help pick someone else off the floor when your collapsed on it yourself. Remember to take care of your own needs and not just everyone else's.

"Don't sell the A4"

Care to elaborate? Bad deal? Assuming you refer to the car and not the stationery

Don't be so hell-bent on getting to the top of your career path so soon. It's not a race and it's a long life. Try and enjoy it a little more

Probably just to work a bit harder at school (I did well but just coasted). But as NiceCouple have said, I probably wouldn't have listened anyway, and would have said I was doing just fine!

More recently, I would tell myself to start training properly sooner. I like to think I would have listened to that.

P.s. also loving the Soviet-style thread naming convention.

Oh thank you. I am glad you do but fail to see the soviet connection bit Just a simple numerical order as each topic is too long to fit in the title.

I traded it in after it failed its mot. What I got instead cost me more within the next 2 years than the repairs would have

Just teasing, OP. The Soviets were very fond of basic naming - e.g. housing estate-43. Did exactly what they said on the tin!

Can I assume you mean from a bad situation/relationship rather than for example the country? And by the way would agree with you if that was the case though not always easy to do sadly for some people.

Pretty much anything that needa leaving. I have a repeated pattern of staying too long - home, marriage, relationships, jobs, etc.

I would tell myself to spend more time in the company of people I care about. And I'd tell myself to make sure I always tell those I love just how much I love them on a very regular basis.
