Has anyone noticed the rise in wonky veg. Carrots were once beautifully straight and tapered but increasingly Tom is finding wonky carrots in his basket. Why is this happening. Farmers using too much chemicals and creating this Frankenstein food. If it's not straight then Tom will not eat it

If you're eating them it really makes no difference..if you're shoving them up your arse..then I could see a straight one being more practical..

Jeez, I can't comprehend how some people's minds work. The wonky veg are the most natural you can get! Nothing at all to do with chemicals etc.

Gateway to the Beacons

It is merely the fact that instead of them being deemed not good enough for the shops they are now acceptable, they all taste the same wonky or not.

Tom it's the supermarkets that decided on the style of veg we eat cause they could charge a premium. So over the decades, the public's view of veg changed to match so they would only accept 'perfect' veg.

Nothing wrong with 'wonky', they are all grown in the same fields anyway.
