Nursing a semi....

The other day, I commented on one thread saying that the sound made by the engines on a Vulcan bomber at an airshow gave me a 'semi'.

Now I KNOW that may be a little weird.. okay, it's a LOT weird!!!

But, come on - own up! I bet there's some pretty odd things which bring on stirrings in the under-crackers dept in YOU which you've never admitted to anyone...

So...... what are they....?

I did. The Victor is a pretty special looking aircraft too. Shame they didn't mention the Buccaneer, a truly brilliant aircraft.

Not really on topic, but are you aware that 2013 will be the last year you can get your 'semi' that way - XH558's final year of flight..

Rolling the Vulcan?

I believe it was also done on the first test flight too. Shortly after the pilot buzzed the Avro factory and broken all the skylight windows.

The other thing which gives me a semi is the smell of Jet-A aviation fuel at Gatwick or Heathrow... which is not good as I have to go there frequently!!!!

No - the DH110 crash which killed 28 people in the crowd as well as the 2 pilots.

The main body of the wreck landed away from the crowds but the engines exploded and shot across into the crowd like a pair of missiles.
