I work for one of the large supermarkets and they're too tight to put the heating on. Freezing my tits off all day.

Might have something to do with the current extortionate price of gas and electric as well as the pubs probably still recovering from a global pandemic which forced them to close for months, at least you have your coat though

To be fair, they're well worth unfreezing afterwards

Maybe we are missing out?? A virtual scrap?

Going keyboard to keyboard with a random guy. Duking it out.

And waking up the next day...no headache, bruises, swollen knuckles or gently brushing your loose teeth!

Oh, and OP..like others said, a pub should be warm and inviting. A place to relax.

So, down the rest of your pint, leave, stop for some tinnies on your way, maybe a takeaway too.

Get home, de-rig, feet up, and relax with cold beer and hot food.

You’d moan even more if he put a £1 on the cost of a pint to cover the costs. So ask yourself would you rather pay more and be warm or keep it cheap and keep your coat on ?

Just to give you some insight, I work in a restaurant. Our energy bills have risen to 8 grand a week. A WEEK.

Yes a large chunk of that will be from our kitchen, I don't know if your local sells food and runs a kitchen but I can tell you cellars are fucking expensive to run.

Depending on what ales they sell (pump ones) there's a good chance they're losing money on those too as once the barrel is open it lasts just a week. We stopped selling them in the end as we were down approx £100 a week on them.

Perhaps it's turn the heating down or close the pub.

It's hard to make any money running a pub at the best of times.
