Being a man of mature years, I've noticed than many people seem to use 55 years old as a cut off for others they'd like to meet. Is there something about being over 55 that is significant (apart from the advancing years that is? lol)

If you look about, you will find that lots also use 30,35,40,45,50,60 and 99 as a cut off...
