Bad Sisters

We just finished watching this on Apple TV. The story stretched credulity a little and there is the odd plot hole, but we loved it.

Hannah worked out the "who" question fairly early on but we were unever certain until the moment of revelation. It kept us guessing all the way through. It's a really well-written crazy story with some good laughs and a really nasty bad guy.

Has anybody else seen it? What did you think?

It's set by the sea near Dublin. It starts at the funeral of a man (John Paul aka JP aka "the prick") who is a husband and father of one. The wife has four sisters.

The story jumps back and forward. In the past we see the terrible abuse JP subjects his wife to and the horrible way he treats anybody around him who he can feel superior to, including the sisters and a very kind neighbour.

Two of the sisters start talking about killing JP and working out how to do it and get away with it. At different points, two other sisters get involved in the plot. We know he died because we have seen the funeral but we don't know who or how until the reveal at the end.

In the present, we see an insurance broker who can't pay out JP's life insurance policy so he tries to work out how to avoid paying. He becomes convinced the the sisters killed JP and tries to get proof. If the wife did it then it nullifies the policy.

It jumps back and forth between the past and present. There are a lot of crazy situations and a lot of humour but also some really dark moments.

We loved it and really recommend it. We were on the edge of our seats.

"Really enjoyed this, it was brilliant "

There are only two things on Apple TV that interest me. There's this one and there's Ted Lasso, which is just hilarious. Have you seen that?
