Thankfully my youngest is nervous of cuddly toys and so didn't like the idea of the elf moving around when he was asleep.

I think I'm gonna pass the baton to my daughter next year and she can come up with the scenarios to surprise me. She's past the age of believing he's moving but still likes the fun of it. I think she'd actually enjoy being creative with it, whereas I find it an utter pain in the arse now !
