what is it with people holding the phone at 90 deg to their mouth and shouting into it while its on speaker phone so they can hear it. im seeing this alot now days.

just use it as the makers intended, and hold it to your ear!! i dont want to hear your conversation

Maybe they don't want to smudge their ear make-up?

No-one uses earphones any more do they? Remember when people thought phones would give you ear cancer and so started using them on earphones because of it?
