Python attack

Tom is no fan of Oz and here's another reason why. Reports that a 5 year old boy was playing in the back yard near the pool and a ten foot long python dragged him into the pool and coiled around the little boy in an attempt to constrict and drown him. He was rescued by his father and grandfather and it was a narrow escape. The dad explained to the boy that these snakes are not poisonous yet incredibly dangerous.

Glad it's not in Toms back yard. It's all over the news

It's a 5 year old boy he's explaining it to.

You never tell a child the oven is hot after they burn their fingers touching it?

The interesting thing is that the dad set the serpent free .. but what if that evil serpent attacks another child.. ?

The dad’s summary was priceless “ look, it is Australia”

I guess you have to have a different mindset when every other animal out there is actively trying to kill you

It would certainly make your eyes water Tom if it was in your back yard. The python was 10 feet long. You would be walking funny also.

Evie usually posts the link but she is failing in her duties. This story was one of the most read on the BBC.

So the evil 10ft python lays in wait and attacks a 5 year old and wraps his tentacles around the child and takes him into the swimming pool to drown him and only luck saved the day and the father says, "This is Australia Son".

Tom is speechless and the dad set the bugger free .. the snake and not the child .

Tom, I don’t know what’s worse about Australia, the poisonous murdering criminal buggers or the animals.

He’s got the taste now! And snakes being sneaky and sly I reckon he’s gonna be out to get the ones who are onto him first…

Watch your back, Tom!

We need a Tom cliche bingo sweepstake- low score for 'its all over the news' and high score for the often present 'poisonous' snake

no matter

My son had snakes as a teen . Various sizes and temperaments . A pair of red tailed boas he bred . A very nasty Albino python called Shitface ! He wasn’t allowed to get them out if he was alone as he wasn’t very big lad.

He had 7 in total in his room. The king snakes were always escaping, one was found and taken to Heathrow lmao as they thought it was a Black mamba

He still has his first snake a royal python 30 years later .

There's no such thing as a poisonous snake.

Snakes canbe venomous, not poisonous.

A poisonous animal can only kill you if you eat it.

I get bears, rattlesnakes, black widow spider, brown recluse spiders, coyotes and many others. Human beings are just stupid to thier surroundings . You can't blame the animal for their instincts. Here is a hint... Don't be dumb take the precautions.

Where do you stand on Condoms?

It sounds to Tom that in certain parts of Oz that even going to the pool in your back yard is like a game of Russian Roulette and it's not a game that Tom wants to play.

Tom remembers watching old black and white cowboy films from the wild west with granny sat on a rocking chair on the porch outside the homestead with a shotgun as she protected her grandchildren playing happily outside. Imagine having a swimming pool in your garden and having to be on permanent high alert in case a python is laying in wait to eat your children. It's emerging that these buggers can swim and are prepared to coil around a child before taking it into a pool to constrict the breathing and do a death roll. They are no better than crocodiles and we all know about their behaviour.

Just one of the reasons that Tom has no love of Oz

They are better than crocodiles as they can climb trees....then wait for passing old ladies before they fire their poison death rays at them and steal their pensions

Only 2 snakes in the world are poisonous. Theres loads that are venomous though. Massive difference. Poison is ingested, venom is injected

"Dangerous buggers.

They have been doing things like this for years Tom.

I remember reading this book and it said that a talking snake told this woman to eat an apple and she did even though the owner of the apple tree said dont. Caused all sorts of problems.

Just be glad they dont talk anymore.
