A French Red. Preferably a Gamay grape; a Fleurie or the like, if anyone is buying!

Beds - all sorts of beds ;-)

Red. Red. More Red. I haven't tasted a Rosé that I like and the only white wine I'll drink is Black Tower

Must admit to wanting it out of a decanter sat on a walnut drinks cabinet. Easy listening playing, velvet jacket on with logs on the fire...

Has anyone else noticed that sweet white (dessert) wines are really hard to find nowadays, other than at Christmas time?

On the whole it's red for me as long as its a good one. I can do a nice crispy white like pinot grigio with fish or a moscato with a desert or even a reisling. The old rules don't really apply much these days anf you can drink your favourite wines as you wish though there are few things you should avoid pairing of course. And you must always of course start with a glass of champagne or a kir royale

"Most from the Languedoc "

Apparently Languedoc is the only region in France that is allowed to label their wine by grape variety and not chateau etc. I prefer that cos I tend to buy wines by grape variety I like, such as Merlot, Shiraz, Pinot Noir etc.

The Languedoc produce roughly a third of all of Frances wine

There are some amazing wines from the area
