That is apparently one of the worst pains. Can you get to an emergency dentist?

"That is apparently one of the worst pains. Can you get to an emergency dentist?"

I genuinely want to put my head through a brick wall.

I'm going to call dental dentist in the morrow.

Touch wood it's never happened to me but my friend's son who's a really tough man was brought to tears by it. She took him to an emergency dentist in the end but I don't know if they're even available since covid

I've had one here, worst pain ever, dentist packed it with a antiseptic dressing, was like winning the lottery.

You have my sympathy here.

I wanted to hack my face off when I had it, I've given birth and that was a breeze compared to dry socket!

I’ve heard it’s awful.

I was paranoid about anything dislodging the clot when I had a wisdom tooth out.

Normal toothache is bad enough hope they sort it.

Are you a smoker? That can cause it.

I gave up smoking so I could have a tooth removed as I didnt want a dry socket!

I've also had my gum stitched in the past.

Don't rince it out. Get cloves crush them and put into socket. The oils in cloves will sooth it good for antibacteria and go to dentist first thing they will dress it for you. Normally 3 dressings every second day should see you right.

You are spot on, I've done this and those little twigs are natural lifesavers. Lidacaine is great too.

I've had three, one ended up getting stitches. I never found them to be that painful. I kept them clean with a large syringe of water that I could squirt into the socket rather than brushing. Had to be very careful eating, as anything hard that accidentally went in was like a knitting needle through your head.

You can buy oil of cloves at the chemist and apply it liberally with a cotton bud. I also used chloraseptic throat spray as you can direct it straight to the socket and it's antiseptic as well as numbing. Mine took months to completely close. Ask your dentist for stitches if you can.
