So what do you call it?

Sex for me is with no emotional attachment which I find difficult, despite the amount of times I've done it!!!

Making love is when it just feels perfect, minds & bodies entwined.

I read men naturally see sex as a mechanical act where women need that emotional drive to enjoy it. From my experience, I agree. I find non emotional sex fun if the guy great in bed. Totally pointless if there's no real attraction. But the best sex for me when you got that emotional and sexual drive. It only happened once or twice in my life.

It depends on who I'm having a sexual experience with and what relationship I have with them.

there is always some form of attachment for me, even if just in the moment. I can't have sex with someone i don't like

doesn't mean I'm in love with them though...

Sex. Fucking. Rarely making love. I have to have some form of emotional attachment to be wet enough to have sex.

Making love feels like some part of my soul is connected with another in some unbreakable way. But sex can be pretty perfect sometimes, when everything just clicks and you can't get enough of each other.

Sex, whether it’s a quick fumble or a connection which takes me to another level in my soul.

Making love is only when I’m trying to be a 1940s matinee idol and kissing while lightly brushing her cheek with my thumb.

I could never call it making love unless I did actually love the person, otherwise it just seems uncomfortable and creepy.

Unless we are in a loving relationship, where it’s called “boom boom time” then it’s just sex.

‘Sexy sex’ is always fun with someone you like/fancy/have a friendship or connection with.

Making love is with someone where’s there’s Laine kind of love and caring between us both, and that’s just amazing.

I don’t just have sex, I have and it isn’t something I want again.

Depends who it's with, time and place.

Someone you care about ( making love) someone you don't (sex)

Some you care about, out and about quicky, probably raw love making/sex

Sex and making love, in my eyes, are two very different things.

Sex is just some fun we both in enjoy, where as making love is more sensually and involves having a connection with somebody on a deeper level than just “fancy a shag”.

The phrase ‘making love’ makes me cringe, but there are times when it’s the only phrase that fits.

I love fucking/sex, but that commingling of beautiful energies, it takes it to a whole new level.

I’ve only experienced it with one person, and there was a lot of love between us. That’s not to say it can’t be experienced in other ways, but for me, it was an extension of the love between us.

I dislike the phrase 'making love' on my lips, and so never use it but I literally can't fuck with no emotionsl attachment. That's not some Parnassian judgement: it's direct experience, going way back to when I was 20 and my housemates laughed at me for turning down a hot-looking pair of foreign students who made it very obvious they wanted a threesome. I think there's now some neologism for it.

Sex is Everest. If you helicopter to the top, it loses its appeal. But there is also no need to take the obvious routes.

It depends on my mood... When I'm in filthy mood, making love doesn't sound very appealing...

Close, kind of, but not really. Sex, for me is a physical act. There has to be level of physical and mental attraction with you for it to happen at all, but it doesn’t necessarily mean we want to be life partners, hence fwb. It’s a mutually pleasurable arrangement with someone whose company I enjoy. The deep emotional attachment comes with someone you would commit your life to.

I may have oversimplified this..
