Lots of reasons.

1. I’m not meeting so don’t see the point.

2. They don’t read my profile so don’t title the message correctly.

3. They don’t have public photos/profile picture.

When I was interested in meeting I also wouldn’t respond to:

- messages that told me “what they wanted to do to me.”

- cock pics

- no sign or interest in getting to know me as a person

No replies to anything we have already said no to on our profile:

- dick pics

- ‘hey’ (or any other unimaginative one liner)

- offers of payment

- married or otherwise attached ‘singles’

- super hairy people

- offers of watersports as a first approach

- being told what someone WILL do to me/us

Other than that we will reply.

But … the other day I replied to someone in (what I thought was) a positive fashion. I think my words were something like ‘ you’re not my usual type but I am intrigued and absolutely could be tempted’ and he told me that I should put my preferences on our profile. I said I had. He got shitty saying that I was clearly a woman who ‘got off on rejecting men.’

So if someone seems to have a chip on their shoulder they won’t get a reply either!

If they haven't taken the time to read our profile then I won't take the time to reply and that cuts the 90% of people who would get a reply to about 10%.

At the moment I'm not doing new meets I say it on my profile so if they ask for meet I won't reply.

If I have no interest in their profile chances are I won't reply because it opens the chat and they can keep messaging even after I say no thanks.

And it depends on my mood and how tired I am or how busy my life is outside of here sometimes I just pop on for a few minutes at a time and I don't always check my messages either when I am on.

If you get one message a month then chances are you are going to respond to it no matter how dire it is.

If you get hundreds a day you have to filter them as you just dont have time to deal with them. Inevitably messages you'd actually like to respond to will end up caught in the filter. That's just life.

Some days the filters will be one criteria and other days different ones - after all people are moody.

We've got enough going on in our lives that we don't really need to be instigating messaging any new people.

Generally though if some effort has been put into a literate message to us we will reply even if it's with a polite but for the avoidance of doubt no thanks. We don't get millions a week mind.

• They have no profile pic, their profile pic is a close up dick pic or it’s clear from their profile pic that I wouldn’t be attracted to them, so I just delete the message without opening

• Their message subject is something rude or obnoxious, so again, will delete without opening

If I do open the message, my reasons for not replying include:

• They don’t even say hello (eg “Meet tonight?” “Nice tits” “wanna fuck”), bad manners, text speak or offensive messages

• Dirty talk in first message - will instantly block

• Mentioning payment / gifts to meet

• If they’ve attached close up dick pics - instant delete

• They say they’re married or attached and are on Fab in secret

• If I look at their profile and aren’t physically attracted to them

• If they have no public pics

• If their bio mentions things I’m really not into sexually

• If their bio states they want to meet people 18-99

• If they’ve messaged multiple times previously (will usually then block if they persist)
