Looking forward to 4 great days - plenty of bands we've not seen before, with excitement building as June approaches ??

Would be good to bump into some fellow fabsters - difficult to see how with so many bands to move around to see !!! Barely time to eat, drink & pee.

I think Wednesday evening in the village is going to be best.

From what I understand, there will be no mixing between camping areas, so socialising will be in the Village or Arena only, and people are going to want to see bands on Thursday

Last time I went it was called monsters if rock in 1988.

Two fans got crushed to death while guns and roses were on and Simon king went into the Guinness book of records by having the most bottles thrown at him while on stage. Should of been more glass ones imo

If you're happy to be a volunteer, Oxfam still needs people for Download. Volunteers have to be on site the day before the festival officially starts so for Download, you will need to be there from Wednesday, 7 June to Monday, 12 June.

Last year you couldn’t get into the quiet, eco or specific campsites without the right wristband.

Not sure about general campsite access with a quiet wristband this year due to it being sold out.

I did see a post somewhere about the rules being that you’re allowed in the campsite your wristband states and that’s it, can’t find it now though

So from what I know so far, any camper can enter general camping camp sites, so eco, quiet, accessible, rip etc can enter the coloured sites but general campers cannot enter special sites.

Apparently you can enter rip camping however you are required to pay some kind of deposit.

Official word is, only allowed in the campsite you have a ticket for… no general in Eco, Quiet etc.. AND vice versa
