I was just debating whether to go to get fish and chips, or pop to Lidl to replace the bag of groceries that went missing from my order.

I fancy fish and chips but I can't eat a whole portion and there's no one to share with.

As a geographer I am totally fascinated by the regional and even ‘hyper local’ nature of what gets served in fish and chip shops. In a time when so much of our regional identity is lost to national chains and international companies muscling out local businesses it is kind of amazing.

I’m afraid I a really dull though I just have cod and chips with plenty of salt & vinegar

Last time I went to the chip shop has to be a year ago. The guy twisted my head. He asked if I wanted my order all together.

What are you supposed to do with 2 fish, large chips, sausage and chips, pot of peas, curry sauce and a meat pie - stick it in a bag and see how it blends?
