I doubt it , but then it really depends on who is the bigger manipulative. The ITV or Matt Hancock. ITV holds all the cards to to push your thinking .

Like others, I have dipped in and out of this.

He has (predictably) done all of the trials, and done exceptionally well.. but saw last night he didn’t get picked … maybe this is acceptance?

I am a huge 80s fan of Boy George, but he is the one I have ‘grown’ to dislike. He is sanctimonious, lazy, and a complete diva!! … let’s be honest he has a perverse past … for which he is a convicted criminal that many / some will find off putting .. but that isn’t conveniently mentioned!!

Should MH be there at all … not sure!! There are a few politicians have condemned him - probably the the few that don’t have second jobs / incomes routinely, and distracted from their MP role! Let’s be honest, his political career is most likely over come the next election, so what is wrong with trying to sew the seeds and kick start his next career, possibly in the media / TV. It worked for Ed Balls and Michael Portillo, et al.

It is car crash TV … but then again, so is most of is on our screens these days.

I wonder if Penny Mourdant will do Naked Attraction in the future … hmm!!

"Will Matt Hancock win I'm a cele"

No he will not win .

He will be kept in to face as many trials as possible in order to maximise his humiliation.

Then at the end whoever is left with him will gain as near as dammit to one hundred per cent of the votes to beat him, in order to humiliate him further.

Usually this type of bull ring spectacle is abhorrent to me, but let us not forget, it was Hancock’s decisions that directly led to thousands of extra deaths. He allowed untested patients out of hospitals and placed them in care homes. Then he lied about doing that in parliament.

Never mind being humiliated and laughed at on some trivial television show, the man should be in jail

Not watched it. Didnt watch the last few ones either.

The way ITV edits the programme allows them to sway public opion of these so called celebs.

Dont agree with MH being allowed on it considering what he has done.

I wonder how low they will go next year...get Putin on or some pedo/rapist? It feels like it is heading that way.

Even though I dont watch it , it is sometimes forced on you by other social media and you cant escape it.

Sooner its over the better.

Delightful Bliss

It's very possible, he even won moyles over last night.

He is a man who has thousands of

supportive followers and is now reaching out to the under 30's through the show, who the majority of don't vote or follow politics. They are judging him on his camp personality

It's interesting viewing for sure. I'd love to see him do the water slide challenge and I'm sure I'm one of Many who do as well

It is fascinating to watch the manipulation.

When questioned about being caught kissing s woman who wasn't his wife he shrugged and said

"I fell in love". immediately eliciting sympathy from his camp mate. I just thought what about his ex wife and children? that must have been tough for them to watch.

Later he said to Charlene

"I just want forgiveness" and she hugged him. Erm Charlene love, you're a newsreader you don't get to dish out forgiveness that's God's job.

I think he's forgotten that he too has a dodgy past, which imo is worse than Matt Hancock's.

"who cares?"

Why do people (typically men) who arent fans of the show, see a thread headline about the programme, then take the time to read it and post a commemt about how crap it is, or that they dont care?!!

Its like they think they have some moral superiority over the ones who do.

Who cares? Clearly the people posting the threads and commenting. And as its primetime TV, id suggest a lot of the country too.

I dont see people commenting in "what book are you reading now" threads, saying books are rubbish and boring, or who cares!!

So why take so much offence at programmes like 'im a celeb'?

Im not a fan of the show. I cant abide any reality TV, but its what alot of people clearly enjoy.

Im pretty sure the programmes i choose to watch would be a complete snooze-fest for a majority of people.

Anyway, i digress...back to the topic.

Not having seen it...I think its a stroke of genius getting MH in there. Im guessing its boosted the shows ratings significantly.

According to the news, figures were way down last year..wasn't it in some castle in Scotland??

But this year, its clear more people are talking about it and watching....and voting.

Im not a fan of MH either, but I think he's been very shrewd going in. Watching a figure of hate endure the trials softens the hearts of joe public, who sometimes have short memories.

I suspect a lot of people remember Hancock was complicit in killing a lot of people, corruptly giving money to his mates & breaking the rules he was supposed to be promoting as Health Sec to get off with his mistress. Based on that, he shouldn't fucking win.

"I suspect a lot of people remember Hancock was complicit in killing a lot of people, corruptly giving money to his mates & breaking the rules he was supposed to be promoting as Health Sec to get off with his mistress. Based on that, he shouldn't fucking win."

Exactly, its more than just simple "difficult decisions" which are just a part of the job role anyway. While nobody ever expects to be in that role when such a situation goes down, it is still a valid scenario to face that he should have been preparing for. Then not only that but all the other shit surrounding those decisions.

He is human like anyone else yes, yet he is supposed to be qualified for the role he had. A role which needs to have as very limited fuck ups or corrupt actions as possible.

If he was not qualified then what business did he have in that job role in the first place.

Shit happens, some things extremely out of our control or can't be foreseen what the best course of action is, parts of it were a gamble and very likely a catch 22. But then you add on all the other shit surrounding him and he should not be given any kind of screen time in such a way.

There will be those that were behind him, there will be those that won't ever forgive him, and there will be those than he wins over. Based on the latter and knowing how the mentality of the general trashality TV viewer works and how easily manipulated people can be, there is a good chance he will win.

The premise of the whole show is based around bullying. That's what the vote is for, who do you dislike the most to see them have to go through this shit. Which is just another part of the sympathy manipulation.

They are both twats that did shitty things. I have no love for either of them.

Difference is one did it years ago, served jail time for the actions.

The other is more recent and a much wider reaching impact for their actions (not just the deaths). It is fresh in people's minds, for some it's still very raw. He is trying to rebuild a public image of himself so that you forget what he did.

Neither are innocent, but there is a big difference in reasons for one getting shit on while the other is "ignored"

You're really not seeing the picture.

Hancock said he'd throw a protective ring around the carehomes. He did not. He released infected patients into carehomes without testing, resulting in thousands of deaths of the most vulnerable in our society.

Hancock was also involved in multimillion Covid contracts going to mates. So corruption too.

Hancock's mistress was paid for with public money. More corruption. + when he was getting off with her, he was supposed to be the guy telling us all we had to distance + follow the rules he was breaking. Meanwhile, we couldn't even attend the funerals of loved ones in person. So... this is just disgusting.

Many other figures did wrong too. But Hancock was THE health guy.

That's why it was so disgusting he broke the rules he was going on TV to tell us to follow for the good of public health. While we couldn't even attend the funerals of loved ones in person!

That's why it's so disgusting he was involved in giving millions to mates for shit PPE when that was needed to save the lives of medical staff!

That's why it's so disgusting he banged on about the protective ring they'd put around care homes when they actually released untested patients to those homes, resulting in many deaths!
