So i finally got my nipple piercing. My question is how do protect it whilst healing when playing contact sports. Do you bandgage it, use breast pads or what. I got it pierced today and will be playing football tomorrow. Also i forgot to ask how long before going swimming if anyone knows.

Both of us had them done at first they are really sensitive even getting dressed can be painful and alaways seem to be knocking into something

Can I ask OP how painful was it for you when having it pierced? I would like both of mine done and I have a high pain threshold, but I’ve heard it’s really painful. What did you think?

It was painful, but only because I had both done at the same time but like with any piercing it’s over quickly. My scaffold in my ear was worse tbh!

Thank you so much. I might just pluck up the courage after all then. I don’t know why I’m so bothered as I’m covered in tattoos and I don’t mind them at all

Schitts Creek

The nipple is apparently the longest healing (approx a year). I had one re-done just over a year ago and regret not just getting them both at the same time. Keep it clean was the best advice I got (I had a saline spray which I used a couple times a day for first few weeks).

Honestly you will be grand so. I have a low pain threshold and it wasnt as painful as i thought it was going to be. Like 5 seconds only while the needle goes through.

Leeds + Newcastle

A bag of breast feeding nipple pads will see you through as padding and protection for the first bit of healing but once it's healed the fabric of a non lacy bra or sports bra should be fine!

Really depends on your bust size and shape too

I have both nipples pierced but not at the same time. I found clothes rubbing on the first one very irritating and sore. So with the second one I immediately put a plaster over it when I got home. Much better and I left the plaster or re applied it throughout the healing process
