Whilst board and not on here found a great site (see below) via youtube. Oh god am I having a laugh at the old hair cuts and styles and thats just the glam metel guys, can't belive I tried to look like that.

Question is, did you try and dress like your favourite pop or rock star.

I had the black eyes like Alice Cooper oh and did the Adam Ant white strip across my nose to. Bring back the 80's

Nowt wrong wi Alice Cooper, he was my hero back in the early 70's who remembers classics like Schools Out and Dead Babies? In fact I still listen to his stuff now and again these days.

But my yoof hero at the time was Marc Bolan of TRex fame. everyone tried to emulate the band back then, either them or Noddy Holder from Slade.

God showing my age now

Alice Cooper still tours to this day, in fact I think he has a tour on the go and will be in Britain soon, if you've not seen him live before then go see him, what a performer, what an act.

Every one loves glam and Marc Bolan, dam fine guy, too young to die.

Did you know that both Marc Bolan and Bing Crosby both died after duecting with David Bowie, days after an all.

Just checked, November 24th in Manchester, and playing throughout the country too.

I've seen him 4 times now, great show every time.

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

Seeing Alice Cooper next weekend, looking forward to it - as said before it's a great example of showmanship.

The eighties were fab times. Mind you, we had a night away once just to chill out and ended up at a club called reflex which was supposed to be an eighties theme club. It was pants!

Love Alice Cooper, didn't realise he was on tour, I would have got tickets if I'd known, bit late now. Also loved Marc Bolan and thought Adam Ant was hot, didn't he end up in a loony bin or somthing?

We went to Reflex in Birmingham, it was ok, a good laugh, there was a few of us so I guess we would probably have had a decent night anywhere, it was cheesy and plasticky, but then thats the way the 80's WAS!!!, doing a boat race with Jager-bombs was maybe a factor in the impression of the evening tho,

Well this one was in swindon ... at midnight it was half empty and there were some young bar staff dressed in 80's gear doing some horrendous dance on the bar lol. Might have been better with a group of friends

Not too late, I don't think it's a sell out, he tours pretty much every November, so keep your eyes open next year.

Been in Reflex once (was the Swindon one too, as it happens).

Seemed like a half-arsed attempt to do the 80's, and, like every pub/club in that area, was half full of imbeciles.

I do think of myself as an 80's child, though. Ridiculously tight jeans, stupidly big hair, white socks.

If only I'd stopped dressing like that when everyone else did

I always like a good seat at a concert, can't abide being up in the gods or at the back of the stalls. I'll check it out tho!

No spare, alas. Support is Man Raze (1 Def Lep guitarist, 1 Sex Pistol, + others).

Saw AC/M/JJ at Cardiff - hell of a lineup.

If you liked the music too, search out The Donnas. Not exactly reincarnation, but very entertaining.

Alice is playing sheffield arena this month, not sure of the date, could even be next week.

If you can't make it, try and get a hold of his Brutal Planet DVD. One Hell of a show for sure, all the hits are there linked into a theatrical stage show, his death and reincarnation, from the Ballad of Dwight Frye to No More Mr Nice Guy........

err did I make clear in my first post that I like Alice lol

Call me D, as that's the first initial of my real name!

Not sure if name changing is only available to site sponsors or not, however, that option is available to me under "My Account" section
