abruzzo Italy (and UK)

The global population according to official figures is due to hit 8 billion in the next couple of days, but it looks like the rate of increase is starting to slow. The population hit 2 billion in 1925, so has quadrupled in less than 100 years, but we have already hit peak child – there will never again be more children alive than there are today, with fertility rates plummeting across the globe. As good as it is to see the rate decline, this means society will be ageing, with all that that implies

People are living longer now so the population figures will be higher as science gets better. Not so many people die of cancer etc now as there's so many advances in medicine.

Really ? When I google "life expectancy 2000 years ago" it says about 35 to pre industrial era. Life expectancy 2000 years BC says 18

I know I thought it was strange. But I think I get what he means. Christianity was invented around 2000 years ago and that cut your life expectancy down dramatically lol

It's a tricky one for sure. Every week I see articles bemoaning the declining fertility rates, but the world is hardly becoming somewhere people want to populate

That's why they were invented same with McDonald's. Population control. Keep people on low incomes and make cheap food that is bad for you. It's a no brainer

Macdonalds is cheap?!

I reckon I could buy everything for a Sunday roast (including a bottle of wine) for less than two Mac meals.

It was cheap before all the inflation. It's very expensive in Switzerland.

First time ever I bought my daughter a McDonalds last week. I was shocked that milkshake, wrap and small fries was £5.50

5 billion vaccinated with a serum with no long term studies and reports of a sharp rise in cancer, heart attacks, miscarriages and sudden deaths, I very much doubt the human population will grow now, more likely to decline steeply.

I've not been vaccinated and not had covid I don't think? Done 13 countries in 2020 too. I think some of the side effects are occurring today with some of the threads
