I can't run for toffee. I joined a running club last year but I hardly improved and hated it.

No I haven't stuck to it. I've moved on to the gym and fitness classes that I really enjoy. Exercise needs to be enjoyable to keep me motivated.

+1 for fields and trails, so much more enjoyable than pounding the pavement. And more forgiving on the knees!

I am a runner. I enjoy road and trail running.

Currently in recovery from a long standing hamstring injury, I am definitely on the right path to recovery which feels awesome.

"Any runners out there? I’m in herts and would

Need to get back to my local Parkrun, now that my Achilles has healed. Not been able to run for the best part of a year now, and really miss it! I bought an exercise bike for home, to keep my aerobic capacity up without the impact on my body, but it really doesn’t compare to getting out with other people and running outdoors

Agree I was on Zwift for a bit to mix up the load but it’s just not the same. Though I do really enjoy the sweat you can get on when working in doors.

I ran Xc in spikes Saturday and it’s proper upset my Achilles. I think I’ll be ok but wish you a speedy recover and hope to see you getting back out there soon.

Can there ever be to much bacon? lol im not a big drinker thankfully or the early morning runs I’m doing bath the minute would be even harder work than they are! 30 miles is a great standard. Training for anything good?

Get back to parkrun. It’s a great habit and won’t undo any of your gym stuff. Plus it’s free

I've just checked 'Map my run' app, and 25 September 2021 was the last Parkrun I did, almost 5 minutes slower than my best time, because my heel was so sore. So it's taken over a year to heal!

I'll go for a gentle jog around it this week, and see how it goes.

I agree about the sweat you work up on an exercise bike! It must be doing some good though right?

I don’t know but I’m trying is it any more risky than going to a hotel with some one? I’d of course chat and get to know the person before meeting like we all would
