I always feel sorry for the poor, random, resident of King’s Landing who gets squashed in the street by the bell hurtling down from the Sept, after Cersei blows it up with wildfire in Game of Thrones, but that might just be me. What’s your saddest big or little screen death, though?

I watched the new black panther film Wakanda forever.. the beginning scene was a tribute to Chadwick Boseman who played the black panther in the first movie… the scene is a funeral for the black panther but it felt like it was a full tribute to him.. then they have a moment silence for him remembering him in some of the scenes in the previous film.. you could tell the cast that was with him ok the first film were actually really emotional.. not just acting.

R.I.P Chadwick Boseman

this fucking made me laugh. I would never have expected to read about that person being the saddest death.

I am not sure you know. A few that come to mind are Hershel in the walking dead. I was heartbroken, so brutal.

The scene with Hannah in 13 reasons why was very difficult to watch but I think that was more due to personal reasons.

Shireen in Game of Thrones was pretty sad too.

"The death of the rooky American soldier in Saving Private Ryan who was stabbed to death by an experienced German soldier. The German could see the fear in the young guy's eyes as he slowly forced the knife into the American's heart. The German said "Shuss" like a parent calming a child.

He wasn't the rooky?"

I thought he was. Sad moment anyway.

Yes, good one. I recommend "All is quiet on the Western Front" 2022 on Netflix.

That is very realistic and pulls no punches.

"Some great/sad ones already mentioned.

I always found Charlotte's Web difficult to watch as a child."

yeah, Charlotte's Web for me too.

Neverending Story where the horse dies.

There's an episode of Futurama where Phillip's dog waits for him to come back every day until he gets old and dies.
