I’ve just bought an england top and I’m definitely up for it although I’m missing 2 of the group stage games due to work

Not yet, I'm hoping that changes after the weekends domestic games.

I'm finding it difficult as there's normally a month to build up to it, but all I can think about is the East lancs Derby tomorrow.

I’m more excited for Christmas. I feel like I haven’t seen much hype building for the world cup this year? Maybe I’m missing it?

think the hype is much quieter due to the domestic scene. I haven't seen much this year either

It’s nice to finally have a few Newcastle players in the squad for a change even if it’ll only be Trippier likely to start.

I'll watch it but I definitely am not excited for it this year as the negative press in the build up, wrecking the season's whole schedule and the blatant corruption around Qatar getting picked, just leaves a sour taste in the mouth.

What do you mean by the domestic scene?
