Take care

Hi everyone

When I message people I often say if they’re not interested and not going to reply, then take care and stay safe.

I was wondering, because of messages and how things are interpreted when read, if that comes across as threatening? I certainly don’t mean it in a threatening way.

Would you see it in a dodgy way or that it’s just a friendly way of saying “take care byeee”?

You're over thinking things.

It makes a refreshing change from-

"Fine. Fuck you then."

Delightful Bliss

I am a over thinker and yeah "stay safe" would send my mind into a wtf moment

I say "thank you and have a nice day"

Not being on the receiving end, but I will often finish a conversation which is clearly going nowhere with something similar. 'Good luck', or whatever. There's never a reason to be rude.

You see that’s what I mean! I am an over thinker for sure which is good in my profession but not always good for general life I’ll start wishing a nice day instead actually!

Seriously though OP, some folk will read into or take offence at the silliest or most innocent of things. You know how it's meant. You have no control over how it is interpreted.

It's not threatening at all. Anyone who takes it that way has issues.
