What will everyone be using now we have to watch our spends on utilities?

Currently under a blanket with the wheat bag and snug as a bug.

Quite amused as I have been chasing OVO since August as my smart meter has stopped working, the readings have been the same since 27/10 ( stopped a few times since august)they have been out twice and now it is the middle of December next visit. I send readings every couple of days just to safeguard myself . So actually getting free gas . Woopee!

I bought a hot water bottle but I've only used it once. I get so hot in bed.

I've blankets downstairs but not used them. I do have my central heating on though

A 2l plastic bottles like fanta botle for example, filled with boiling water and wrapped in one kitchen towel, it last warm for 12h , is very reliable way of warming a bed for long hours in could days if one can't afford put the heating on

La la land

I scolded my foot with a hot bottle water last year. Check the seals if they're in a cover. Electric throw and blankets downstairs. Electric blanket, wool duvet and vintage wool blankets for bed. Though it's been mild so far so only been put on to take the chill off.

A bed pan filled with embers from my log burner; okay not really, I'm using a hot water bottle but I'm interested in a metal water bottle that I could,on the two days a week that I use my burner (if it's cold enough) heat up on it; could be a good way of making the most of the heat generated.

My workwear (from home) these days is a massive Oodie and fluffy slipper boots. Hot in the temperature sense, less so aesthetically

I like the idea of wheat bags, I used to love scented ones my granny used, but I keep seeing that they can attract beasties which freaks me out!

My hand crochet afgan blanket, made by myself. Toastie warm it is. I'm currently spinning some fleece into yarn, so I can crochet that into a blanket. That will be super warm.

I've got blankets, hot water bottles, an Oodie all to keep me cosy. Plus, I recently bought fleece bedding and fleece sheets. Might also consider buying an electric blanket too x

We have bought a log burner, waiting for it to be installed, we have lots of logs and trees in our garden

Also have lots of throws around the house plus an electric throw.

We already had an electric blanket on our bed but hubby doesn't have his side on

No I haven’t , but then why would I ? They have been made aware of the situation. I am quite happy to receive free gas in the mean time . I am sending readings direct from the meter . They know it isn’t moving .

I have a heated throw around me just now, much cheaper to plug that in than put the gas on. I have an electric blanket on my bed too, plus a back-up hot water bottle. I really loathe being cold.
